Title: info on 1994 type r1 please?
Post by: dandan on June 13, 2005, 08:23:52 PM
I\'m going to look at a 1994 type R1 tomorrow and just wanted to find out as much about it as possible, what should the spec be, what is the standard stated power, as I am not insurance friendly so would rather have a 255bhp model than a 280bhp one!
it has 40k miles and i am only plannig to drive it for 2 years at 6000miles a year, do you think i will get away without an engine rebuild in that time?

Thanks very much Mr Fish sir,
I did read that but to be honest the bible sized post isn\'t the clearest bit of text grammatically!
As far as I can make out, a Type R1 is a 255bhp model, anyone care to disagree? that suits me just fine, but anyone please fill me in if you know different!

Cant remember if it is posted by BNAEllis or RotaryImports, but their post is detailed about each model.
