Hi there,
I only found this forum a few days ago (following links to Rotorstock 2 pictures from the Ausrotary forum). You guys have got some seriously cool rides going on here.
Are any of you lot heading to the Retro Cars Show at Santa Pod on the 3rd July? Be great to see some of your vehicles there. The Datsun Owners club have a stand, but it would be nice to get some of the old school Mazda, Toyota and the handful of Subaru vehicles there.
We\'ve got a bit gnarly Mazda 929 estate and a Mazda RX4 Coupe (coming over from France) on the Retro-rides.com stand (along with another 40 cars :D )
I\'m not associated with the show, just keen to see the retro scene be as diverse and interesting as possible.
Details can be found here :

Be good to see you, your cars are ace :D

first i\'ve heard about it mate. but glad you brought it to my attention - looks interesting.
lemme consult the secretary - as long as i\'m free i\'d be up for it:)
cheers,
gord:D
I might be up for that ... Do you know Eddie aka Ratdat then ? (I notice mention of Datsuns) he was on the retro cars stand last year with his 510
Yeah I know Eddie,.. he will be there on the Datsun stand I think... Although I haven\'t spoken to him recently, he has got very very into his drifting :)
your not the only one he\'s got into drifting ... My mate has just got his 200sx drift car on the road, mostly due to eddies influence I think :D
He\'s also got a datsun 1200 2 door saloon he bought off Eddie (and its still round Eddies in fact)
If I\'m not busy I\'ll try to get to this one in the yella\' 323 ... hopefully it\'ll be on the road (havn\'t a hope in hell of getting the suspension started before then !)
Yeah Eddie has really gone for it with his drifting,.. then again he has the perfect car for it! That 510 is a beastie!
I saw that you got that yellow 323 that was on ebay. There was some interest in that over at Retro Rides,.. did any one on here pick up the Montrose?? That would look ace dropped over some nice deep dished wheels, proper japanese custom style :D
apparently there were a lot of people watching it according to the chap when I picked it up. Not sure why no one else bid (but I\'m glad!)
Its in need of some work and its definetly a car that looks better at 20feet but its just what I want.
Already lined up some wheels (still on the look out for the perfect set though) and an rx3 X-member ... finding the mish mash of parts is a challenge in itself :D
PCD on those is 4x100 isn\'t it?? At least thats what I\'ve got in the PCD database on the RR site.
Plenty of nice wheels in that PCD, if you want to go all out style wise you could do worse than check out ebay.de "Auto & Motorrad" -> "Autoreifen & -Felgen" search for 4x100
Germans do the best wheels :D
I wish :(
The BG 323 in my sig is 4x100 and I have about 24 wheels knocking about for it with a total investment of about a tenner for the lot :D
The early cars are 4x110 as are most pre 80 somthing Mazda\'s

So basically a unique PCD,.. I can\'t find anything other than Mazdas that match it...
Time for yahoo auctions japan then. :D
just had a look at your PCD thingy on the website. Its a little off for some of the Mazda\'s
Early rx7\'s are 4x110 (1979-83ish ... easier to say Mk1 or MK2)
Mk3 rx7\'s are 4x114.3
2nd gens MK4-Mk? are 5x114.3 (in the UK)
3rd gens are 5x114.3
Most other 5 stuf modern Mazda\'s are 5x114.3 too
The smaller 4 bolt modern hubs all tend to be 4x100 appart from the late 121 which is really a thinly disguised fiesta (Ugh) hence 4x108
Thanks, thats great,.. I know some of the stuff is off, but was dificult to find people that knew it all,.. a lot of current PCD charts don\'t go back far enough :(
Some wheels for you (maybe it should be a new thread) :

how do you go about buying stuff off Yahoo Japan then ? Its a little daunting to say the least
A bit of a Hijack :D but I\'m sure it will get back onto topic once a few more of the oldschoolers log on.
ill go to the retro day. i went last year. i got a car that should be in the retro mag. its a 1990 rx7 with a 94 engine, retro car stylie.

My car might be ready in time I\'m not sure yet
