Im getting the runaround loads from this guy from op performance.

I ordered an apexi ecu and commander nearlly 2 months ago and no luck im getting!!.
Is in Warrington area cheshire, i still have the adress so im tempted to go up any day now and demand my money back.

Having exactly the same problem mate (see my thread on rotary chit-chat). I\'m still waiting on my Power FC after almost 2 months. Funnily enough, I spoke to the fella yesterday, he\'s supposed to be sending me a refund today....we shall see. He\'s now trading as oppjapparts, presumably becuase he got kicked off for messing people around.
there was a thread about this guy on the sxoc a while ago. There were several other people who either haven\'t received goods or refunds. Sounds like bad news :(
I said to him yesterday i will be coming up and he said i couldnt till after thurs as he was getting married.
funny thing was he said the ecu would be with me by thursday, if not then to be in contact with him.
I dont know but maybe sounds like he is leaving the uk? getting married and piising off! do i take the risk and wait till thurs or go up tonight, im getting really foooked off now!!, ,,,,, just rang me now!!! saying i can have a refund WHAT!!! my money has been sat in his account for nothing ,, no way god im not having a very good day.

Just an update for anyone looking for him. Had a litte nosey 2 days running for this guys street, now i got the map off multimap but its not the easiest place to find because it appears to be in the middle of nowhere and the directions werent too clear. Anyhow think i have a better idea of where it is now but its a case of trial and error, will look again maybe tonight or tomorrow, then report on if he\'s moving etc. In fact probably tonight to see if any wedding celebrations are going on haha :D
Rite a MAJOR update for anyone reading this.
Found the house, (was going wrong direction on map :rollin )
Was actually a pretty nice house and estate, one of the better ones in Warrington, fairly new. I expected a chav estate with a chavved up corsa etc with a school boy selling them lol.
But i was parked outside his house for a minute getting his licence plate on his Celica GT4, and just about to take a picture of it when he came out.
Smartly dressed mid-late 20\'s (i.e. no trackie and hoodie, jeans, shirt, nice shoes...) And first thing he said was "what have you ordered??" lol.
I said "nothing mate, im just checking out where you lived because a few people have ordered parts and not received them so i was just seeing if you were packing up and moving off"
He was very reassuring, genuine sounding/looking guy, not defenceive or anything like you would expect from someone dodgy. He opened up his garage to show all the parts he had etc like intercoolers etc, all with Jap writing all over the boxes so he obviously imports them. Said he was having some delays/problems with his supplier and everyone was getting on his case but there wasnt much he could do at the moment, fair enough he does have a young kid (noted toys and sticker in car window) so that bits the truth. He explained he got married yesterday as well and all the car parts thing is a "ball-ache" at the moment, but he has ads in magazines etc.
The fact he was willing to show me his stock without me even suggesting it and also the way he acted makes me think maybe he is having problems with his supplier, but still thats no excuse not to give you all a refund.
He asked who was it who hadnt received there powerfc etc i could only think of Jamies name, he said he knew you etc and had spoken to you, he mentioned Chris as well, but i just looked puzzled because my mind had gone blank, (sorry mate!)
Anyhow thats that, inspector Ryan lol, I explained i wasnt trying to hassle him or anything but its down the road from me and saves everyone else a long trip, maybe its worth seeing him in person to put your minds at ease and discuss where to go from there????

Nope, the prick\'s still giving me and Jay the run-around. There\'s been repeated promises of a refund and a shipping number but he never delivers. I\'m absolutely snowed under with work until the end of the month, if it\'s not here by then I\'m going looking for him.
Last resort is to go to his home address and demand the refund, if hes being an idiot about things then its a must.
update,,, i finally got my refund i had to go to his house and was expecting the ecu but a cheque i had to accept! too much of a long story!!!!!!!!!

If he is operating as a business give the warrigton branch of trading standards a ring, then he will know what ball ache really is!
If he is operating privately, give the inland revenue a ring, then he will know what thumb screws are like.
Maybe post the phone number and reference number for a complaint to Trading standards regarding this guy on the popular forums.
Trading standards will get on with sorting it out fairly quickly, if they get a lot of calls, I\'d imagine.
There\'s no way this guy\'s having problems of this sort with his suppliers, that causes him to not be able to supply so many people for months... There\'s too many people with the same problem by the sounds of it.

The cheque bounced,,, unreal he had the cheek to ring asking if i cashed it in as it did not leave his account.
I was at work then so straight away shut down my machinery and rang the bank.
The bank said he had stopped the cheque or there was not sufficient funds so it was rejected.
I rang him back swearing and shouting as i drove a total of 229 miles to get it with my sis, g/f, bro and bro in law.
i said police will be informed by 12.pm next day if cash was not put into the account.
10.30 this morning it was in my bank.

RESULT! Got my money back. The guy rang me yeterday saying he was "goin down the bank at 1.30". Oh sh*t I though, here we go again. So I rang him back when I was on my way up, sayin I wanted cash. He asked me not to go to his house cos of his wife, so I thought fair enough and arranged to meet him nearby. When I arrived, the guy rang and said he was on his way back from manchester and he was about half an hour away, so I was expecting the proper run-around. But half an hour later he rolled up and before I could say anything he handed me a big fat wedge of notes. I thought there was gonna be aggro, but in all fairness the guy was extremely pleasant. He explained how the situation had gotten f*cked up with the Power FC\'s, something about ordering a pile of them and only a handful turning up. Anyways, the ease with which he paid up makes me wonder why all the malarky leading up to this was necessary. I mean he really did try everything rather than giving me a refund. It took an 8 hour round trip, but the guy bunged me £20 for petrol aswell. If anyone else is still owed money, I\'d say get in touch with him and arrange to meet him...it looks like the only way to get a result.

I am guessing he simply does not have any money. What he does have though is a garage full of parts, a car and a house which can be used to raise funds for settlement.

sounds to me that its\'s about time the old bill got invoved. The man is clearly a con merchant.
Still no ecu, and when I last spoke to him gave a tracking no. which did not work. He then promised a refund which has not materialised. The saga continues.
I think this guy needs a visit from trading standards. Those of you who have dealt with him should report him if you have not already done so, seems like he has done nothing but screw people around for ages and make free with thier money.

Okay, I\'ve posted on many other forums about this tw*t over the last 9 months. He WAS a lifelong friend of my husbands (since infant school) until last year when he conned us out of 17 grand!
He\'s been known under many names on many forums and ebay. Here are a few: kyoshiracing, crotchrocket, bmweurope, chipguru, autobahnperformance, raymond calitri, simplyoffroad...the list goes on and on! He\'s had various websites including: kyoshiracing.com, crotchrocket.net, bmweurope.co.uk, autobahnperformance.co.uk, simplyoffroad.co.uk, chipguru.co.uk. And he\'s been on many forums, too many to remember. His cons have been from small (couple of hundred) to large scale (thousands).
He came into our lives last year, I became friendly with his girlfriend and they both got close to our 2 kids. Over several months we went out lots and went on holiday together and he got us into trouble on ebay and conned us out of 17 grand. It\'s too long a story to tell here but I just want everyone to report him to their local police and mention there have been investigations into him from the Failsworth police in Manchester (Jan/Feb 05) and the Altrincham police (Feb/Mar/April 05). He also used to live in the Wirral when he was involved in Kyoshi Racing and I think the police were looking into him and his ex-partner there. He has ruined many people\'s lives and last year alone ruined christmas for several families who had bought quads for their kids.

He did a scam on a BMW forum where he said he was raffling a bmw and sold tickets for about 40 quid each I think...can\'t remember now. He also said he would give everyone free number plates with his business logo on it (bmweurope) and got everyone\'s reg number. Obviously they never materialised and someone told me that it was something to do with Car cloaning why he was getting everyone\'s reg.

Another £200.00 arrived today. Perhaps he thinks I will give up now its down to £45.00. Well he had better think again. It will cost me £90 in petrol to go there, but go there I will. I have already reported the matter to Warrington Police and if anyone else on here has had simular problems to me and wish to report to the police please use incident No,235/19/05 so that they can cross reference. I have a complete log of all dealings to date with OP Performance which I will be forwarding to Police tomorrow.
Watchdog is a great idea. There must be lots of guys out there that have given up hope of finding him and T.V. is a great way of reaching the masses.

i have traded with this OP performance over 6 months ago. i ordered an intercooler, apexi timer, and an apexi AVCR. i received the cooler and timer, but not the AVCR, after 3 weeks of waiting i contacted him, and it was stuck in customs. 3 more weeks and there was a problem with the item and he was waiting for another, then before i knew it i had passed the paypal refund time. so have to battle it out with him.
i have been due a refund now for nearly 6 months and he says hes tried to paypal me, send wire transfers but i have had none of them. he offered a cheque but i said no. now he wont even answer his phone or reply to messages from me. im now wanting to pop in to his little crib out there in the sticks to sort this out.

just found this thread by accident, i won a intercooler from him and after 6 weeks of false promises i said i would report him to ebay, i got the intercooler the next day.
it was not the one i won so he said to sell that and he would send another one, loads more promices and bull**** and another six weeks went by and i went mad at him and once again said i would report him and he refunded my money to paypal with interest so really i was lucky.
he seemed a really nice guy when i spoke to him on the phone and msn but maybee thats just athe way pro conmen work , get your trust and take your money.
to be honest i was glad to get the cooler i got but he kept promising he would send another all the time and it was doing my head in expecting it to come and then not turn up then more lies, i even said to him to stop contacting me as it was doing my head in and he still said it would come and he was sorry, so i was glad really when it all came to an end an i ended up with my money and the cooler.

Barry was in court a few weeks back after being in custody for 2 months, he got off with 200 hours community service!
If anyone wants to press charges against him now\'s the time! The police want all the info they can on him so if you were conned then contact the police now! It\'s not too late. Community service is just not justice for the 100\'s of people he\'s conned and the lives he\'s ruinned!
I have contact details for a PC in Derbyshire who\'s currently investigating him and I\'ve got Barry\'s current home address where he has to stay as a condition of his release.
