At last the new kits on and I\'m really pleased with the result, I haven\'t had a chance to take some decent pics (forgot the camera when I went out) so heres a quick one taken on the drive.
I\'m sure it\'s not to everyones taste being a widebody kit, but I love the JGTC cars and after being lucky enough to attend the Tokyo Autosalon I knew I had to do it to the FD!:D
I\'ll also post up some befores and afters at some point.
Look forward to seeing some good pics.
You flash mutha f**ker ben :cool :cool :cool :cool :cool

Did a guy called Stuart fit the kit for you?

ben...at last!!!!!!!....looking good bud....did that intercooler pipe hold out for you?
Fook that\'s sexy :cool
Yep pipes still holding thanks, got another pipe at Jays with a slight bend in it that should fit a little better.
Cheers for the comments, will take some more pics tomorrow at the darford meet as there\'ll be a little more space than my drive!
I was taking loads of pics of your RE Amemiya Wide kit Gerry looks very nice and still retains the classic 7 curves! Same goes for you too Chris with your Feed aero! Who else has a wide kit then?? Freddys white FD had the Panspeed wide arches.
I for one want to see some more pics of your car Ben, as its been worked on forever it must be stunning by now
Not sure if i will make many shows this year as starting to get alittle bored as each show its mainly the same cars :( so one show and you seen them all, only good thing is meeting all the rotary folk :)
Gurj:wave

Car looks sweet Ben, although I\'m looking forward to full size images of the car. :)

I thought the meet was today lol!! Must go hide in shame now...:rollin
Thanks for pointing that out.
Yes, yes I will post more pics - just I get back late from the office during the week, such is life..:(
Ha haa yes I saw your rivet lights Gerry!;) How are they normally affixed? Just glue?
lost a cover the week before rs2 so that was a quick one knocked up in perspex couldnt get it to hold the shape when glued so ended up rivetting it, luckily i now have new covers on way from newera, they r normally glued down with black windscreen sealer
Hope they didn\'t cost you too much!
Ben, it looks amazing mate.
MORE PICS!

When is RE-A stuff ever cheap
At last the end of the week! Fingers crossed it\'ll be nice and sunny so I can whip the camera out for some pics!!:cool
Ben, I\'m in London this weekend. Wouldnt mind seeing it in flesh.
May be a drive through central London with two wide arched FD\'s. :D
I may be about in the outskirts Enfield way, don\'t fancy the traffic of central London much tho!!;)
Got the car off the drive and took some better pics of the new kit hope you all like the results!:cool
Closeup of the bonnet and new arch extensions.
The rear fenders now let me get all the wheels in there unlike before!:D
The new C-West 3D GT wing.
Rear:
Side:
Front:
and the last one!
I\'ve still got a new set of vinyls to go on and also some new canards for the front bar - otherwise it\'s nearly finished! Well exterior wise anyway! Still got body re-enforcement and a new gearbox yet! lol!! Will it ever end??
Looks absolutley spot on :)
That last pic is a great one
Ben Mate,
How big is that WING !!!!! :D
Car looks awesome now. Cant wait to see it in the flesh.
Damn mine looks sooooo standard now I will have to find some cash and buy some exterior mods !!
Gareth
Brill job Ben looks the nuts well done :D
Awsome!!:wave
That is an amazing Rex ya have.
I so want that kit.(Have to buy a Rx first)lol:p
That looks mean as.
Glad it\'s all coming together.
Looking forward to seeing it on Sunday!
Oi, that man there... get your undertray back on it quick smart!!!
top banana lad looks top quality
Deffo knocked Si\'s car off as my favourite club owners car.
Ben it looks the nuts :)
Your car looked amazing before, now its even better!
Thanks for the kind words, I was unsure about changing the look of the car at first but I\'m well pleased with the results now it\'s completed.
Really looking forward to the Pod on Sunday aswell, so be sure to say hi if you see me!:wave
Ben,
Looking Awesome!
I guess you are stuck with that ride height though.
I was a bit the same with mine.
Would love to go lower but the practicality really gets in the way.
And that front bar, is probably the lowest around.
Anyway, I did a little fiddle. as usual.
looks chuffing amazing ben  :D :cool
Loving it dude.....awesome!
Dan!!
Yeah i wanted to make it lower, I nearly cracked the front last night popping by the bodyshop - they stood there amazed that I hadn\'t caught the front lip!
A 3/4 - 1 inch drop would look great but like you say it\'s not practical for road driving. I\'d guess even on a track, cornering hard and going over chevrons would cause bottoming.
i don\'t normally like fd\'s which have been modded to that extent, but i have to say that does look sweet :) well done matey.
is the bonnet with those "sliced" vents (not the front scoop bit) a standard replacement part or custom work?
Quote from: Juzis the bonnet with those "sliced" vents (not the front scoop bit) a standard replacement part or custom work?
Looks like a scoot hood.
Car looks really good! love to see it in the flesh.

Looks even better in the flesh. Ben is officially a car tart.
It\'s the scoot bonnet and really works with the wide kit.
Looking good Ben.
Wow, that\'s looking very very nice there...
Car tart!.. Err thanks for that! ;)
Yup it\'s a Scoot hood with the rain trays aswell.
Thanks again for all the kind words! And the photoshop Rextreme! :)
Looks stunning
I said it at the begining of this tread, but with those better pictures it bares repeating..... WOW!!! Mine looks so plain now :)
Adam
That looks awesome! i love scoot bonnets, is that a FRP one?
Gav
Hi Gav, yes it is an FRP Scoot bonnet with the rain trays. Just spent all afternoon replacing all my worn wheel nuts with some smart RAYS ones and also put my undertray back Ian!
What colour RAYS nuts (oo-er) did you go for? Red to match the caliper detailing? Black to match the body?
Got some black nuts lol! Was tempted to lower it but resisted as it\'d be tough getting up the drive, have seen some coilovers with an adjustable 1" hydralic system mounted at the top mmm... :D
Thats the sus I have Ben. Ohlins, nice ride. Raises up by about 1 inch. You can check if tomorrow!
Looks a bit better than when I had it! Looks awesome matey
where did you get your clear side repesters from ???
Cheers Freddy for the laugh yesterday, hope those bumpy roads were okay with your FD! I certainly liked the ohlins setup you had and would love a set for mine!
I got the clear side repeaters from Pow-R last year (I think) as there was a post up about them - I had to call as they don\'t have em on there site I seem to remember, cost was £25.
Cheers Dan, your red ones looking very nice aswell - hope you\'ve repaired most of the damage after the fox incident!
Ben
Your car does look the nuts....
not sure about that tiny wing on the back though ;)
Stu
Top man Ben. Always a pleasure meeting. :)
I had thought the white Panspeed would be of some competition to yours. But I must say, your FD is just class.
Having my suspension set hard did not help on the back routes we took with blueadpt... doh! (thanks for that by the way, if you end up reading this post!). Although we did miss the bulk of the traffic which was pretty cool. :chat
Cheers Freddy/Stu! I do love the Panspeed cars as there pure bred racing machines! You\'ll have to PM me the spec of the coilovers and what they cost as they\'d certanly fit the bill when I have some funds for them.
Nice to finally meet you Ben, great job on the rx matey, should have won best of show without a doubt :D
Gurj
Lol! I would\'ve liked a rotary to of won, would make a change from the usual winners!
Yeah nice to catch up with you too, hopefully see you at another event at some point.
Thought I\'d update my thread, once again I have some low-res pics until I get my hands on something better!
Heres the new vinyls on the car in gold and chrome which compliment my rims!
I decided to stick with Japanese tuner/sponsor logos in the end and I\'m pretty pleased with the results, hope you peeps think so too! :D
Looks utterly stunning mate :god
The vinyls look fantastic, although I personally would have had all the vinyls in chrome.
Nice one Ben, vinyls finish it off nicely :)
Still think it needs a wash mate. ;)
Fish
Mate i want you car!!! :god :god :god
Adam
Lol! Thanks for the kind words!
Wash, what you can see some dirt!
Black has got to be the worst colour to keep clean, it\'ll get a thin layer of dust on it after 5 mins!
