Hi Guys,
Just thought I would post a couple of pictures of my Series II RX7 here in Australia. Not sure how many of the Series II\'s there are in the UK, but there are a few getting round this part of the world,
Regards
Damien
On the highway
Warming up the tyres before I put the turbo on it!
G\'Day Damien!
How are you mate?
Thanks very much for posting your pics. up!!!!
If you get a chance, pop over and have a look at //www.rotorstock.com - we just had this event on the weekend, was a great success!
very tidy looking car :cool
No idea how many S2\'s are left over here but there must be quite a few still knocking about. They are much rarer than the S3 cars now though.
I thought I might attach an underbonnet shot. The radiator has since been replaced, but as you can see, not quite a standard motor.....
Yum yum! What is it?
Series V 13BT with Hurley seals, GT45R (ball-bearing) and a few other goodies. It drives a twin plate clutch, through a Supra gearbox (second gear keeps breaking!) to a custom tailshaft then a full spool 35 spline Strange 9 inch diff. The car has competition brakes with carbon-metallic pads, good springs and shocks, full roll cage, 2 amps and 3 12 inch subs.
We are just about to remove the gearbox and fit a 4 speed Jerrico Nascar box the same as on my other car, and think the car will have mid 9 second potential on 26 x 15 x 8.5 inch slicks. On pump fuel street trim full exhaust it makes 380 rwhp. On C16 and race tune with dropped pipes (30psi) we won the Mazfix Dyno Comp (one of the bigger ones over here) with 596 rwhp. The car has been over 600 rwhp however.
Being a ball bearing turbo to, on street trim you have all the boost and most of the power by 4000 rpm, race tune it is making huge power (500+) from 4500+ rpm.

Where/by whom did you get the rear end built up mate?
It was built by a friend of mine here in Sunny Queensland, called LPG Mania. It is essentially identical to the one in my RX2 except for a lighter carrier in the RX2. I have another mate with one the same and they all owe us $5-6,000 Australian in the car.
Not sure if he will do house calls to the UK though!
Please note that these rear ends can handle some big power, I have gone 153mph in the other car on an 8.5inch slick (650+ rwhp) without a problem.
Hi Grump
Do you have any pics of the underneath of the rear of either car?
Cheers bud,
Rich
I have none of the diffs in the car, only two with the diff out which are too large to upload. I should go outside and take a photo under the 7, but it is pouring over here! The RX2 is having some major mods following a little "incident" after running 9.13 @ 153.45.
If you want, email me damien@mckernassoc.com.au and I will email you back some pictures tomorrow.
E-mail the pictures to kieronash@gmail.com or kieronash@hotmail.com and I\'ll upload and host them for you.
Sweet looking car and a serious spec!!!
Well done that man :god
Today was the first day of the new financial year over here, and owning a decent sized accounting firm it was out of control. Tried to send some emails but when they were rejected due to size I ran out of time. Will try Monday as I have no email at home (it is really hard to get good IT help over here!)
I will try and take some photos under the car over the weekend, so if anyone wants pictures of anything, pm or let me know.
One of my employees is also taking his 12AT RX2 for a run and hoping to break in to the 9\'s (only one has in Australia) and a car I sponsor a little is also going for a run and hoping for mid 9\'s tomorrow, so I will let you all know how we go!
All these cars are powered by Dyson Rotary by the way!
As an aside, I do have a complete engine combo that will make 650 rwhp on C16 117octane race fuel for sale, and I know Craig Dyson has freighted things around the world.
The package would include everything but an intercooler, so Series6 engine, turbo, manifolds, wastegate, blow of valve, Motec M4Pro, M&W CDI, Coilers, injectors and tune.
We were contemplating putting that set up in this car, but the turbo on this one is slightly smaller and ball bearing, so more suitable to potentially being a daily, although the bigger set-up is quite driveable. All this stuff became surplus to requirements when we went methanol powered, but with a Jerrico behind it the 2520lb RX2 ran 9.50 @ 150

I\'ll come over and work for you :D aslong as i can bring my FD...
Wow! That makes Tim\'s (RXmotors) car look positively slow!
Hey Damien,
Welcome to Mazdarotaryclub.com, thanks for putting pics up and l hope your sale goes well.
Keep in touch :D
We recently converted the series5 extend port to a Cosmo bridge with the same GT45R and it made 460rwhp on 14psi, and is built for 30psi!
With the old engine on 23psi full interior including 3 12" subs and 2 amps it ran 10.57@134mph on street slicks. With the new set-up, including Jerico, we are hoping for a mid to low 9!
absolutely stunning car ! :D
What a car nice one mate. :wave
