Title: Apexi Results
Post by: Steve Burnett on May 31, 2005, 06:20:03 PM
Just got my car back at the weekend from Pip. He was trying to fix my ongoing boost problem I had.
I decided just to fit an Apexi PFC to help find the problem.
Fitting it seems to have done the trick, although Pip said that he inputted some "strange" duty solenoid figures to control the boost. The boost is at .75bar I think Pip said.
While the Apexi was going on I fitted a decat pipe too and new plugs and fuel filter.
The Apexi results are below & also the graph.
Am happy with that, approx 270 at the wheel on Pips Dynapack (and I\'ve heard its giving very low readings)
I never saw the water temp go above mid to high 90\'s even in some traffic. Might have been at start up?

the results were:
InjDuty=79.8%
IgnT Ld=51 deg
IgnT Tr=51 deg
Eng Rev=6410rpm
Air Temp=66
Boost=+0.81 kg/cm2
Knock=81 (recorded the knock after 25-30 miles)
Wtr Temp=108

Taken at 116miles
-------------------------
InjDuty=79%
IgnT Ld=50 deg
IgnT Tr=50 deg
Eng Rev=7035rpm
Air Temp=72
Boost=+0.82 kg/cm2
Knock=29
Wtr Temp=97

Taken at 278miles
-------------------------
InjDuty=86.9%
IgnT Ld=51 deg
IgnT Tr=51 deg
Eng Rev=7614rpm
Air Temp=62
Boost=+0.75 kg/cm2
Knock=22
Wtr Temp=112

Had the car been sitting still at anytime as the water and air temps are high, even if car is sitting water temp is a bit excessive and can be controlled through the PFC.

I changed what was said about the temps. Have a look in the original post.

The water temp figures are normal, if you stop the car and turn off the ignition then when you restart it the temps will be high, you will see them rapidly reduce when the water starts pumping again...
