Title: Body Kits & Replacement
Post by: sbelton on July 17, 2003, 08:57:32 PM
Hi Peeps,

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get a replacement bonnet and a \'97ish front (lights, bumper, skirt, etc) - I don\'t mind importing so long as it\'s from a reputable place.

I am also after a boost guage and oil temp gauge. Anyone recommend any decent makes? - I like the backlit neon ones.. anyone got any snaps of theirs?? (like to see some pillar mounted ones too).

:)

Do you mean aftermarket bonnet or just a standard one?  If you just need a standard bonnet I have one I could sell you.

Cheers

If it aint worth a kidney you dont want it enough mate!

All cool stuff costs, how cool u wanna b?

Youre looking at big cash for the 99-spec front end (with the different lights etc. The nose is pushing a grand and then the support bar is nearly the same. The combi lights are about £400/pair. Etc etc.

Ask Clive - he\'s done it to his UK spec FD.

Hi Steve, I have a container leaving Japan, in about a week or so. If anyone wants any parts let me know. I do a really good deal on the latest C-WEST kit at the moment. £1100 including all carriage and duty paid, all you have to do is pick it up form me. I can get any kit, wheels or turbo kits etc that you like.
I am going to order some Panspeed Fibreglass doors for myself, does anyone else wants some, I maybe able to get a good deal on two pairs, they are about £950 all in at the moment.
Can someone post a pic of the C-West Kit.
Email me ASAP if you want any bits. ross@evilrotors.com

Probably not; it\'s just the shipping, insurance, handling, import duty and VAT will convert the $ price to £ at 1:1.

no most american companies are more than willing to ship to the uk nowadays, i had my gtc rear skirts shipped from taiwan or somewhere way way away with no problems!!

here are a few reccomended stores that do loads of nices kits and bits and ship to the uk (last time i asked anyway!)

Thanks boys.

I know it\'s quite common, but I am gonna have to go after the VeilSide CII kit with a Scoot Sports replica hood/bonnet (and \'99 lights as well).

Of course, this means I might also have to respray my car black hehehehe.

Looks like I\'ll have to rack up the overtime!

I\'d speak to Ross before looking at the US stores.  Unless you are VAT registered and can put car parts through your accounts the VAT, duty and shipping are a total pain - Ross\'s prices already include this.  A lot of the exterior bits from the US are copies too whereas it is a lot easier to get originals through Ross as he only deals direct from Japan.

Also watch if you are buying any under-bonnet parts from the US as the fitment can often be different due the the LHD layout.

I have bought parts from Chuck at Rotaryextreme before he is a really good, and will import to the UK the only problem i had is he will not take international credit cards so I had to wire transfer the money to him. Parts took about 6 weeks to get here.

Gary has replica Scoot bonnets made in fiber and carbon, as real Scot bonnets never came in carbon.

Also for the Veilside kit the official importer into the UK is //www.nemsesisperformance.co.uk.

Hope this helps

Ian

Hey Clarkee,

They look really like the ones Ross got - if so the fitment was excellent and I only need a very minor adjustment to the mounting holes to line it up straight.  The only problem we found with them is that they don\'t fit on over the stock airbox - we had to take the cover off :(

Iwan, Clarkee is one of those DJ type people.

You know the sort that forces you in to a nightclub to listen to him play his set, and drink plenty of beer. :D
