Dont use them myself (yet!) but my mate reccomends the Red stuff ceramic pads (heavier car as well as a heavy foot too!) over the green stuff.

Only problem with these...I believe..... is that untill the pads have a little bit of heat in them they will squeel a tiny bit, which can be annoying if you use your car like mine (as a daily drive) and dont give the brakes any stick so they wont heat up much....

in the end im not much help!!! :D

Yep, Hawk +\'s are good all rounders.

EBC\'s are ok on the road but you can toast them very easly on the Track if you use it for what its ment for ;)

There are some good pads out there but for Fast road/Track use you can\'t beat Hawks.

Have a look on the wheels and brakes section. This question is often asked.

Personally I use Blackdimond pads. Bought from Clive at Shyauto.com
I have heard bad things about EBC green stuff on FD\'s so would avoid them.

Not sure on cost but two places to try are

Shyauto.com
and
rotaryart.uk.com

or any of the other supporting vendors should be able to help you out. Have a look at the banners above.

I got front discs and pads all round form Shy.  Fitted them myself, not too abd a job.

Black-diamond combi discs (grooved and drilled).  Hawk HT-10 pads to the front and HP+ pads to the rear.

The balance is nice.  From cold much better than stock pads and at track temps they\'re better than the rubber is capable of handling (ABS on at 130+ is scary the 1st time it happens but good to learn to use the breaks effectively).

The HT-10s do dust quite a lot though and are a bit squealy at low speeds/gentle breaking.  Not sure if the squeal could be fixed with copper-lube or similar though.

Black diamonds are good, but when you have grooved discs this can wear the pads a lot quicker on track, i went through a set of brand new pads in one night at knockhill. mind you i did about 30-40 laps...

Im going for porsche big reds now, hopefuly that will cure my problem! :D
