Title: Wide 18 inch wheels - anybody???
Post by: Luciano on May 26, 2005, 03:23:53 PM
Any idea if the following wheel sizes will work on the FD?

245/40/18 (front) and 275/35/18 (rear).

Its (believed to be) lowered slightly, standard sized brakes, no arch work has been carried out.

Its a Type R so will never be carrying more than 2 people.

Am I likely to have problems?

Thats a tyre size not a wheel size.  Youll need to know the width and offset to get a rough idea.

Cheers

Lee,

I don\'t know the wheel widths.

Offsets are 155mm rear  105mm front

I guess they\'re too wide...?

I have 2.5" spacers on mine to use the offsets I have otherwise I\'d probably have a minus offset

  dont understand.  Offsets will be et45 or something like Gerrys above.

Running a spacer effectively lowers the offset.  EG et50 with a 2.5" spacer (63mm) will be 50-63 so -13.
