Post by: RobbieRX-7 on May 25, 2005, 06:46:13 PM
just been restoring the paint work on my car and i am absolutley amazed by this product. It is called g10 made by a british company called farecla. The man at the body shop sold me a bottle for a tenner :D  and i am blown away by its performance..my car looks 1 day old again and ive not even waxed it yet!

I highly reccomend this product. You cant buy it from the shops but i thing a good paint supplier may sell you one.

This is indeed good stuff, been using it for longer than i can remember.
I always go for G3 first if paints quite bad then finish with G10.
Using a proper Mop helps a lot, careful tho with the G3 as its quite abrasive stuff.
When your done and you get a few coats of wax on its f**king unreal.

well my paint is the original 13year old vintage red and i was preparing to get the car resprayed as the bumpers especially were fading quite bad and my new drivers door needs painting.  I just dipped a cloth in cold water, ringed it out, then applied a small amount onto the damp cloth, then rubbed over the  back bumper..its quite surprising how far a small amount of this stuff goes..i then waited 5 mins then poilshed off with another clean soft dry rag..

when the car comes back from the body shop, im gonna buy the farecla gold top wax and G3 liquid compound..i want all the range of products now after seeing the start of the results!!

It\'s an abrasive. Wouldn\'t touch the stuff with a bargepole.

yep it is an abrasive, just like all other paint restoring products such as T-Cut etc.

It just comes in different levels of abrasion G10 would be a T-Cut equivalant G-3 is much more abrasive and as i pointed out such really be used on cars who\'s paintwork has badly faded/oxidised.

Its like most products of its type, if its used sensibly then it does its job very well, if you get a bit heavy handed then its goodbye topcoat and hello primer.

it is an abrasive but as long as it bings the old paint up like new i dont care..if its good enough for professional bodyshops then its good enough for me.the bloke who sold it me said he would not use tcut even on a push bike because it contains ammonia!!  must be ****!!

Wouldn\'t use any of them. Zaino is non-abrasive.
