Title: Peoples thoughts on non RX-7 Intercooler
Post by: nikp on May 23, 2005, 12:15:17 PM
I\'m interested to know what people think about this intercooler being fitted to an RX-7. It seems a good size to fit nice and snugly into the front bumper without being abtrusive to the radiator.

Obviously the pipework is inappropriate - I\'m more interested in the application of the intercooler.

By the time you have got this fitted, you would be better off getting one that fits out of the box.

I have been down this route, on the idea of trying something different, when I could have saved money and just got something off the shelf.

It looks fairly wide.  Not sure how wide it is from pic, but routing pipes could be tricky if they\'re out as wide as the oil coolers.

any intercooler that goes infront of the rad needs to have good thru flow qualities otherwise rad temp will suffer which is why not all non rx intercoolers are suitable..my old scooby aps unit was a great intercooler but wld be no use for a rx
