Title: Fitting An Induciton Kit ??
Post by: grinder on May 22, 2005, 12:40:48 PM
Right then guys - let see what info we can get

I could do with a new air filter for the car - and basically none of the local places sell them

so im toying with the idea of an induction kit ( cone filter )

seen some on ebay for not a lot of money ( inc a knightsport one )

SO.....

are they easy to fit ?
what happens with the pipe from the air pump ?

errr thats about it really

not looking for perforamce gains ( should get about 4bhp tops ) - mainly looking at decluttering the engine bay

is this a safe route to follow - or am i wasting my time ??

im hoping to run this with a fully decat exhaust system

idea/suggestions would be great

If we can make this a good thread - i will make it a sticky later on - or will add it to bretts thread about mods and make that a sticky

having looked thru the 2nd gen section - we seems to go over things a lot of times - so its about time that i pulled my finger out and sorted this section out once and for all :) ( he says LOL )

thanks

Stu

infact - im gonna start now and see if i can get some threads in a neat order for ease of reference ... this should be fun

TBH A filter is a filter, as long as you steer clear of the steel mesh ones you should be alright.
