Post by: gsb876 on May 18, 2005, 04:13:45 PM
Just ordered some for my rx at a cost of £155 per tyre is this a typical price ????

As sounds quite reasonable to me :)

I have Eagle F1\'s all round.

Very pleased with them.

265/40/17 & 235/40/17 ......... certain I paid more than that fitted and balanced etc.

Check out the webs, alot of places seem to stock them now, I think I have seen them advertised for £120 - £140 for the 235\'s.

//www. Etyre.. or summat like that.

Hang on... am I missing something, Iaint got his for £500 (£125 per tyre), iiyama got his for £400 (£100 per tyre) and duff got his for £330 (£82.50 per tyre). So, £155 per tyre doesn\'t sound all that reasonable does it?

I suppose prices can vary a lot from different dealers/parts of the country?

Cheers

Think it depends on size.

Ive taken a guess at Gurjs, and Mytyres has 255/40/18 at £158.20 and they are normally amongst the cheapest.

a 255/40/17 is only 116 by comparison, with 235/45/17s for the fronts coming in at 93.

The rear tyres are 265 / 40 / 17 and cost £155 each.

They are on now so dont really matter i guess :)

That\'s what I\'m missing... forgot about the relevance size.

Everyone on this thread seems to be pleased with Goodyear Eagle F1\'s. I reckon I\'ll invest in some for myself soon, since I need new tyres.

Struggling to find the sizes for the RX8 225/45 x 18 in F1\'s been offered Mich Pilot Sports and the Potenza\'s  but not the F1\'s. Have you guys that have fitted the F1\'s gone with a 40 or 50 profile rather than the 45\'s?? Persoanlly not keen on the Pilot Sports as had bad experiance on another car but that was 5 years ago so the Pilot Sports may have come on alot since then.
Anyone out there can shed some light please.
Cheers
John

I\'ve been more than happy with my F1\'s.

Though they didn\'t stop me spinning on some diesel and spanking the front of my car.... :reallymad

Yup, RX8 size tricky to find - should think this will improve given how many lo-power reds I see around the place!

I\'ve got Pirelli PZeros on mine, paid about the same as Gurj did (160 / corner), cannot fault them wet, dry, or on eventual breakaway.

Nuffink you can do about that Mr Oldland, wanna buy a banana-shaped wishbone for a 300ZX?
