superb,  its 1hour 8 minutes long though,  with B/band you can watch it like a movie without waiting for it to download.  Must be coming from a good site.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty good too.

I am not looking at drifting my 7 when it arrives for 2 reasons, firstly... I\'ve waited a long time for it and I would hate to kill it! Secondly... tyres ain\'t cheap!!!

I was initially looking for a website or something with advice on controlling skids and such as I\'ve never owned a powerful rear wheel drive car.

I know 7\'s can get out of shape when pushed and I wanted some advice on keeping hold of the car should the back end decide to step out.

Sorry to hijack, but if your worried or want to improve your skills etc it may be worth booking some time with an instructor.  I did a few years back and its well worth the money.

This is not the one I attended, but its a taster of whats out there:-

Ultimate car control (http://www.ultimatecarcontrol.com/ultimate-vehicle-dynamics/the-course/)

Hijack over

Regarding Ultimate Car Control

http://www.ultimatecarcontrol.com/ultimate-vehicle-dynamics/the-course/

I have negotiated £600 each for the one day intensive training session on the Friday 17 June 2005. Any other takers or any other past participants who might like to comment?

I can\'t vouch for the course as I have not been on it yet, but thats the deal I got and I said I would post it on the site.

After your post B9 KLF I did a little research myself too.

Thruxton circuit do skidpan training in a Sierra for £75 for 3 hours and £125 for 6 hours.

After the training you can take your car on for a go according to the woman I spoke to on the phone :)

more info... http://www.skidpan.org.uk

Once I have my rex I shall be taking this course as it\'s a bargain!

Ah, but a set of kerbed alloys off of eBay with part-worns on them -are- cheap ;)

Got my copy of Drift Bible back but I\'ve lost me other DVD about driving on snow and left-foot braking... didn\'t lend it to anyone at Mascrat did I?

Wow, the afternoon sounds bob on - skid pan pursuit :o

Can\'t believe it\'s so cheap - same price as a track day with no tuition, ruining your own car - this is a serious bargain!

Let\'s get a thread going in events - some time in the autumn maybe, since rain is probably a bonus rather than a hindrance, and I know my car diary is quite full until September anyway what with it being show season...

By the way - ProDrive Live do something similar to the RX8 half-day, for around 200 quid.

This includes instruction on the high-speed circuit, the adverse handling circuit, an advanced session on the roads around Warwick, and brake and avoid stuff.
