Grrrr!
Picked up my car last week after having a new front bumper fitted. However, it didn\'t look right without sideskirts, so I took it to the bodyshop to have some sideskirts fitted too. Picked it up at 10.30 after work tonight, with the car looking absolutely awesome!
Managed to get about 15 minutes down the road and driving on the motorway, Basil the f**king brush decides to run out from the centre reservation to take a closer look. Dans bumper 0 - Basil Brush 1.
Didn\'t even get chance to look at my car in the daylight and now it has to go in to have the front repaired and resprayed, which is going to cost a few hundred quid to have it done properly.
Whats even worse, is that I needed the car tomorrow to drive 170 odd miles to visit my parents, and that ITV were going to be filming a few cars including mine, for an article regarding the South West Motorshow next week.
:reallymad

Prior to the damage. Hopefully, bodyshop will take pity on me :(
Bummer about your car mate. hope you can get it sorted out quickly and at not to much expense.
Lovely looking car. like the Rx8 wheels on there.
gutted for you mate :(
lovely looking car you’ve got there :cool
I had the same problem a month after getting it repaired from the first rabbit, I ended up glassing in an aluminum bar along the full length of the bumper on the lower lip, when i took out the second rabbit the damage was pretty mininal but without it I think i would of lost a lot of the lower lip
Damn how unfortunate!!
The cars looking really nice, I\'m sure you had a big grin when you picked her up from the bodyshop!:cool
absolutely stunning looking there my man.
gutted for you mate
Outta interest can you give me the contact details and cost for the C-West style lights as I really wanna get a set at some point.
It gets worse! Mr bloody fox has put a hole in my 10 day old fluidyne rad! More money! Hopefully I can get that fixed though, rather than replacing it :reallymad
Ben - the company is //www.raceonusa.com , but they often sell them on ebay under the same user name (raceonusa), for a few dollars less. Hope you\'re handy with a drill and cutter though.............
Not the rad! Hope you can get it repaired without hassle, cheers for the link I\'ll take a look.
Drill and cutter? Surely you just have to wire them up and affix them to the car, the fit looks good from the pic - did you have any probs with them??? Thanks for the link too!

You have to wire them up, and modify the actual fittings for the lights that come with the conversion, and for the actual brackets themselves. On mine, the carbon fibre bit didn\'t actually fit the base properly so I had to cut the base to fit. It also comes with no fittings whatsoever.
Hmmm... so a bit of a pain compared to buyiung the originals, although the bit of fiddling sounds like it\'s worth a £500 saving!
There we go, the final straw.
My bonnet catch broke, and now I need a new bonnet and the bracket repaired. The car is going to be for sale, very shortly and i\'m getting something easier and cheaper to work on
bad luck dan
Dan mate,
did you get your kit from raceon too?
I\'ve been thinking about getting some stuff from them recently but was just wondering about the fit and quality.
Can you give me any feedback?

I only bought the lights from them, and the fitting was rubbish to be honest. My friend had a kit from them for his Supra however, and that seemed to fit fine
