Title: fuel pump relay
Post by: tonyafrica on May 05, 2005, 06:44:23 AM
hi all
I recently bought a 93 rx7 fd and the car ran well for a couple of days and then after standing for about a week it would start and run for a few seconds and stall.
I checked the voltage at the fuel pump.zero.I hotwired the fuelpump and it now runs. The real question here is does the car have a fuel pump relay and where does it sit. I have checked the fuses.
thanks
tony

Remove the black air intake box at the front of the car, under that there is a little row of relays, its in there.

hi mate...

sounds like u have a fault with the fuel pump resistor...possible break in wire....the resistor sits under the brake master cylinder ...direct this with a pair of wires from the fuel pump relay....the resistor may be faulty though ...quite easy to change though...cheers ifty
