Title: Nurburgring Track Day Advice
Post by: Mart160plus on May 03, 2005, 10:59:19 PM
I currently have a Dragon cat back exhaust (2.75") on my 94 FD3S R2, Eibach springs and lightweight MS-02 alloys. Going to the \'Ring late June I am looking to do the following first :

Fit new plugs
Fit 9mm Magnecor leads
Fit K&N replacement element
Thrifty man\'s cold air mod to increase air flow
decat pipe
down pipe
Get new Apexi PFC mapped
Put new pads on (Black Diamond, Hawk Black or EBC yellow stuff?)
Change brake fluid ????

maybe :
Replace stock IC with Aluminium IC in stock mount
Upgrade fuel pump and wiring
Four wheel alignment

Anything I\'ve missed ? Be grateful of your reflection on the pads and whether I should change the fluid or not.

Cheers,

Mart.

I\'m not sure for when it is a proper trackday (I think it\'s the same), but when it\'s a normal public day, the limit is 98dB, at half revs and 1 mtr behind the exhaust at something like a 30deg angle.
And they are picky about it, to keep the whiners in the area \'happy\', and the Public days alive.

[edit]
Actually, I was wrong, it\'s 95dB. See:

although rereading you\';; need a pencil cam or sumin if you want it to be near invisible cause they dont seem to like cameras on board, the hague stuff if top bollok for mounting cameras but not subtle shall we say we\'re talking big ass suckers etc which you see the likes of pros use etc etc...
quick google:
