Post by: Draco on May 02, 2005, 12:46:25 AM
tonight on the M4 I was doing 70mph when i put my foot down when a loud pop/back fire then my warning heatlamp came on:eek:  so slowed down and it eventually went off I then got to where I was going parked up for 1 hour then started driving again. after the engine was warm i put my foot down in 3rd when the engine kinda held back then carried on pulling but hte warning lamp had came back on :( .....
I have checked my Apexi FC commander and I have illuminated VTA1 and VTA 2 I know these are the throttle full nad narrow range! are these connected to my problem?

either bad connection at throttle position sensor or failing throttle postn sensor..as far as i know it is just a voltage signal..throttle closed gives voltage which alters as the throttle moves open..will affect fuelling if faulty hence pops and bangs and heat warning light
