Title: HT Leads
Post by: babz_audio on May 01, 2005, 10:13:01 PM
Changed my plugs this week as when i started the car it was like 1 rotor was working and the other wasnt, but after a few seconds and a push on the gas the othjer would kick in and it would sound all good

driving the car when it was warm was all normal, and it would start again afterwards, engine never flooded or anything

im wondering, maybe the HT leads need changing

where can i get these and which ones?

how hard is it to change these?

ps, im running a HKS T04R and it will be running at 1.2 bar

Get the 9mm Magncore they are made as standard for 3rd gens, 10mm are not recommended by magancore.
Bigger is not always better ;)

When I first started buying from magnacor I aske dwhy they did not have the 10 mm in there price, as I knew they made them and they said that only drag cars with high outputs and ignition boosters would benefit. He went on to say that they have used there standard 9mm on race cars with best effect and that 10mm would actually not work as well if running standard coils.
This was their advise not to sell 10mm on road cars.
I can ask for a more detailed reason when they come back on Tues.
There opinion was that 10mm are sold by some tuners as it simply puts more money in there pockets and are easier to sell if advertised as what the drag cars use etc..
