Title: BOV positioning
Post by: PETE SMITH on May 01, 2005, 09:05:20 PM
Seen many engine bay pics of the FD and there\'s variety in BOV siting-either turbo pipe side or throttle body side.
what\'s the right way, if there is one!?!

not sure if there is a right or wrong but my apexi one was designed to fit on the turbo side, even although with other turbo cars they say the closer to the throttle body the better, guess it doesnt matter

bov shd allways be postnd as near to throttle body as poss not before the turbos..the whole idea of bov apart from cosmetics and whoosh noise,is to rlve the pressure in the system as u lift off throttle so the air doesnt flow back over the turbine blades they do not improve perf or spool up by more than a fraction of a sec they are for longevity of the turbos.most factory ones recirc the air before it hits the turbo back into the intake before the turbo
