Title: British Record--?--Stock Twins 449.4 fly.
Post by: Warthog on April 28, 2005, 10:16:34 PM
Just got back from REWORX.

As some of you already know i have been playing with my 1994 FD and have followed the advice of Geoff at Reworx. We have today taken my 1994 stock twins to the max with water injection and a number of other mods.

The results speak for themselves  WHEELS-- 378.1 HP

                                                       FLY-------- 449.4 HP

My deepest thanks to Geoff, Chris and Max for there never ending held , advice and support. We have gone into unknown and un-mapped tuning zones with this project. The results are down to the professional and expert knowledge of the modding and tuning abilities of the Reworx Team.

It is no small task to hold the Fastest single turbo time. The best rear wheel Hp for a single turbo FD and the best rear wheel HP for a Stock Twin FD. I for one take my hat off to you as a team.

All i have to do now is learn how to launch in the 1/4  mile and use the power that they have made for me, to get into the 11\'s in my street FD ( no weight has been taken off it\'s got full trim etc in fact it may even weigh a few kilio\'s more than standard.

Thank you to the Boys at REWORX.:cool :wave :wave :wave

We have left the previous run on the chart as it shows that it has now been leveled out.

thats very impressive,   the turbos are doing well to support that sort of boost, are they stock?

Race fuel?

My signature says it all. They are stock 1994 mazda FD twin turbos. No race fuel, no cheating, full speck road car, Ins ( mods declaired ) ,tax ,mot, street legal tyres etc etc. Bring on Rotorstock.:wave

It is. I\'m still trying to come to terms with the single clutch, let alone even thinking of playing with high boost. I will have a play in the correct forum, among fellow FD owners on the 5th May. It will give me a chance to make a total prat of myself. Hay Ho said the Warthog.:rollin :rollin :wave

Thanks John. Sort of puts it into a true light when you consider that a PORCHE RD3RS makes 400bhp at the fly, look at how many tens of thousands they cost:cool

:cool  Well done, i must say. How come you decided to keep the stock setup matey i bet it cost a fair bit and wondered if doing the single thing might have worked out cheaper? Im trying to get the record for the slowest FD with my naff standard uk spec with twin cats :bandit  between me and you i think that its in the bag.:rollin

Chris B --- The engine is NOT Reworx the mods are all what Geoff said to do, to get the max out of it, prior to going single. All the mods are needed anyway if you are going single, so no money lost.( Except the Charge Cooler mod but thats only inplace of a large intercooler, i only did that because if it is good enough for Geoffs 10sec car, then it\'s good enough for me and it\'s cheaper and it looks cool.) We were all just so shocked that the stock twins could do what they have done.
However, now i can see what anybody with stock twins can get out of there car, i don\'t see the point in going single. So i will be going down the line of  seq-twins. Having spoken to Turbotechnics there is no reason why they can\'t be a very large pair ran as seq-twins and not non-seq-twins.
I just love this car.:D . You can do anything with it. I will get Geoff to strip the engine down soon and sort out dowelling etc as i do intend to put some real big bhp through it later this year. Get Rotorstock out of the way first.:wave

I felt forced into it, couldn\'t stand him taking the p@ss, so I did a quick 404 rwhp run @1.1 bar

You know, most dangerous when threatened etc ;)

Warthog : I came to the same conclusion about sticking with the twins, albeit seriously uprated ones.  I\'m on my way to saving enough to do it all in one go so I will be keeping a close eye on your progression :)

What does your car look like, so I can recognise it at Rotorstock and have a good look? :)

I only saw 99% injector duty, and Scotty can get 120% out of the warp engines ;)

*sigh* Where\'s the apple sauce? ;)
