The Burnout KDI type II kit retail price is:

Nose 81,900 yen
Skirts 56,700 yen
Bumper 71,400 yen
Total price 210,000 yen

(Not offering any service just what it costs according to their 2005 product catalogue). Although if I had the cash I\'d be sure to open an FD shop!!:D

Plus you would have to add the price of the gt fenders as well for the wide arch look

Front 63,000 yen
Rear 31,500 yen

which works out once converted to pounds to £1,520.07

Still quite cheap for such a lovely looking kit, does anyone know of a company that imports them ?
And approx price of having a kit like this imported/sprayed/fitted etc

Then a few grand more for some hot looking wider wheels, id say going by thos arches you`d need at least 265-40-17 on the front lol

yeah i was looking at those, wonder what the offset would need to be, if standard wheels are +50 they must be about +20 to get em to fill the archs, or wheel spacers of some sort.
I reckon there 19" on 30\'s

EDIT

just checked thier website again, sizes listed for the spec

Front 18×9.0J+6 tyre 215/40 R18
Rear 19×10.0J+6 tyre 235/35 R19

wonder if the +6 is the offset, if it is would\'nt that put a hell of a strain on the bearings etc ????? bearing in mind standard is +50

they look a lot wider in the photos

Thats not 2 bad lol..

Love the arches but the bumbers a bit tame, could you fit another bumber to this kit or would it be to short?
Title: Bodykit please.
Post by: Hawkmoon on May 01, 2005, 11:43:28 PM
you could fit another front bumper as ive seen pics of this kit with standard wings.

just out of interest i have worked out roughly what it would take to turn a bog standard Rex into the Burnout KD type 2

Body Kit £1520.07
Importing Kit £200 (guess)
Wheels £1500 2 19x10 2 18x9 both +6 offset (if you can find some in UK, otherwise add a few hundred for importing some)
Suspension kit+Fitting £1200 (tein Flex)
Tyres £538 (goodyear Eagle gsd3)
Spraying / Fitting kit £1000 (guess)

Total £5958.07

I reckon i best start saving some

It\'s still nice to see Co\'s developing kits for the FD. SWAT do a kit too that I seem to think looked kinda similar? DOn\'t have a pic to hand though.

I think some of the costings where a little optimistic! £200 for shipping the kit from Japan to the UK? I paid £800 although I did have it put on a plane in the end as opposed to a ship.;)
I\'d of thought £400 at least!!

The FDs are a bargin to purchase as standard but once you\'ve been bitten by that damn modd bug the car becomes very expesnsive!!:D

Ewwww that Vanquish kit is nice, there are just too many to choose from.

I only put £200 for impoting the kit as i thought you could probably get one of the car import firms to bring one over in a container with there next shipment of cars.

Yep that SWAT kit is very nice indeed.(http://www.emotipad.com/newemoticons/Score-101010.gif)
Though i would expect it would be the same as all other non mainstream kits and be a total arse to get hold of in this country.

Putting on a ship taking approx 3 weeks would be about £450 - £500, Shipping via Air freight would be more like £800.

Thats what I was looking at for a full 5 piece kit with rear wing.

You\'d also need to allow a few weeks for the kit to be made as most are only made to order. Not that cheap but worth it when you get a glimpse of your finished car!!:D

Post by: Hawkmoon on May 04, 2005, 10:36:55 PM
SOOOOOO £1000 ish to buy it, and £800 ish to air frieght it, say a round £2000.

Thats still not to bad really.
