Just wondering what sort of bhp I would be looking at when I get my car tuned by WGT.
The car is a 1994 JDM FD3S,
the mods are:
Apexi ECU
M2 induction kit (housed in a carbon box, so hopefully getting good air)
Blitz back box
I also have a replacement mid pipe that I might fit depending on the benifits.
I won\'t be going for max power out of the mods but just a good safe everyday mapping.
Thanks
Steve
The trouble with squeezing that extra hp out of a stock set up is that its a slippery slope.
A straight through exhaust and induction kit probably adds upto 20bhp but then a Apexi is required to allow fuelling to be modified and help damp boost spike, Usually by turning down boost or enlarging pill is boost actuator. So then with boost spike you also get a fueling problem so you then need bigger injectors!! bigger injectors and higher boost means strain on stock turbos which usually have a few miles on them anyway. Oh and I forgot you need that intercooler reduce intake temperature. Then what the hell, fit a single turbo Oh and then you need a boost controller.......hey wheres my £5k gone !!!
Perhaps you guessed, that was me I was talking about!!!
..............Forgot to say, I managed about 300 at wheels on the stock twins with Apexi, Intercooler, Intake, Injectors, exhaust.

PS now have 270bhp at wheels with T04R but only running .7 until boost controller fitted. Should get 330-350 at .9 afterwards.
So is it all running again ??? Didn\'t take pip very long to get it up and running on a single !!!
Has it made a big difference to the performace of the car ? Have you still got a smooth acceleration, or is it all at once. Could you pm the cost of the 1600 injectors and pump you got from pip, wanting to do the same but pip\'s too busy to give me a quote.
Can\'t wait to see it, but may still be in the 106 at next meet :(
Shaun
Anyone else have thoughts on my car?
Sorry bud, bit of a thread highjack ! Its hard to say, The only real way to tell is to get it on the rollers and get it tuned. I would have thought it would be good for around 300bhp FWHP, but i havn\'t really much experience in these things.

The previous owner of my car got 250whp with those mods (cat still in place), which should be over 300bhp at the flywheel. Am in the process of decatting right now :D
Thanks guy\'s, thats what I was thinking approx.
My insurance wanted to know and I quoted approx 300.
Very dependant on the state of the motor, what boost and what you measure it on, I would guess some where between 240-270 at the treads, so 300FW is probably a good guess...
Engine condition\'s going to have a bit to play, but safe to say if you\'re running stock injectors you\'re not going to want to push much over 300 before upgrading them.
