Title: No Horn
Post by: Ada7 on April 22, 2005, 07:53:15 AM
I\'ve got a Momo steering wheel fitted but for some reason my horn doesnt seem to want to work. I didn\'t fit the wheel, it was on the car when i bought it, so I can\'t compare it to the original one.

I have taken it off to see if anything is loose, and all i can see are 2 wires (red & black) that are connected to the horn button.

What could be wrong? Does the horn have its own fuse?
And by any chance does that fuse also deal with the reverse and rear fog light?

Got my MOT coming up soon and want to get all these little things sorted out.

Check the fuse box at the accelarator pedal, i think the fuse is down there. :)

If it helps put your mind at ease then I passed my last MOT (on a different car) with no reverse or rear (or front) fog lights.

I also passed with just a warning for only having one sidelight though,... I swear to god it had packed in on the way to the garage :)

As for the wiring you should be able to trace the wires to the fusebox in the footwell.

I checked all the fuses in the footwell and they all seem to be fine.
I also checked the bulbs in the lights at the back, and they seem to be fine to.

The strange thing is that the front fogs work but the rear 1 doesn\'t, but they work off the same switch! Have checked the conections to the lights at the back  #
