Title: Dodgy Revcounter!
Post by: Tim Oldland on April 18, 2005, 12:56:58 PM
Noticed yesterday, after coming back from a 3 week holiday to St.Lucia ad Tobago (hee hee...), that the rev counter on my FD is only sweeping round to about 4k, then it just hovers and stays there until they revs drop down again.

The engine itself is revving fine, is this a known problem?

Hoping it doesn\'t mean a new dial....

Cheers

Do you have aftermarket gauge faces?  I\'ve got a set and occassionally they touch the inside of the needle and cause it to stick.  If it\'s an electrical pick-up thing then I\'m afraid I\'m not going to be any use...

Hope you get it sorted.

This happened to me, the rev counter is bust. Simple as that. Get a second hand one from one of the many traders.
Try Gary @ rotarytarts
Ross @ Dragon performance

Interesting - never experienced that one when I had the car! - I don\'t know, only had the car five minutes and you\'ve broken her already ;)
