Title: Getting hot ???
Post by: gyrpere123 on July 04, 2003, 09:51:00 PM
Hello, me again loads of help from you all last time, now have another problem to solve.Put engine into newly accuired t11 convert after sorting out little leaks engine is still loosing a small amount of coolant resulting in buzzer going off when the engine has warmed to normal operating temp. The engine still runs at normal temp but after running down and turning off engine coolant is pushed out of coolant res. This was my old engine taken from car that was wrecked by joy riders but had know problems with it before and they only got 2 miles init on a cold wet country lane before loosing control and although the didnt drive it still ran okay.Only thing i can come up with is that i have used  the standard hose spring clips again, do these weaken  and let air into the system. Do these need replacing with jubuilee clips. Any help much appreciated  MARK

Hi Mark,

Have a look at this as it may need just "burping" some cars are a Pig to get the air out .
