Just wondering if anyone on here has taken their FC T2\'s to the nurburg and how much it cost etc. Im thinking of taking mine a few months time.
Thanks
Dave
welcome to join our party if you like (see my thread)
my last weekend ended up costing 500/600 ish in an FD
yeah me and my mate are going at the end of july. going to get some good video\'s of us. vvvvrrrruuummm. more fc welcome.
my hotel is booked for the 12th to 15 aug. old timer racing carnival. track might be a bit busy but there will be other things to see.
Im hoping to go at the end of august with a few mates. (if the car gets on the road in time!!!) ive been told you just queue and it costs about £12 a lap. Not too sure on details though!!

nah you buy a pass from the office it\'s like a toll road.. well it IS a toll road.. you know what I mean ;)
It\'s all on the web, 155 Euros for 12 laps, 300 for 24, you can also get an annual pass for about 780 Euros I think.
We just had the baddest weekend ever, what a fantastic time, so much fun doing Porsches and M3s !!! Got video footage of every single lap, even the Ring Taxi going sideways around me and Andy, still hoping someone has a photo somewhere of my 13 foot flames when coming back into the pits when my MAP sensor disconnected !!!
Will advise when I get the footage on the web, you see these laps you just have to go and have a go. Deffo going again next year, we drive such fantastic handling cars, where else can you confidently do a four wheel power slide at 120 without involving 4WD ????!!!
Mart.
As i understand it, taking video footage is prohibited or at best its not advisable....if you catch an accident on the video or if one gets inadvertantly onto the internet, itll give the relevant authorities reason enough to shut the whole thing down! :eek
Havent been there in my T2....went there in the missus (well it was mine....and i still own it...she drives it  ) integra.....camped at a campsite about 5km away for 15 euros a night (that price is for 3 people, one car and one motorbike). I bought 6 laps at a time which came to 80 euros. I imagine petrol would be significantly higher in a TII than an integra.....id imagine it drinking twice as much petrol on a lap.....the teg only drank 7 euros worth on each lap....
out of interest, was anyone there between 21 and 25 june....i did see 2 silver FDs there.....
the crossing for anyone interested was £58 return with hoverspeed...that price was for my car and me and a mate....
Remember the ring is a public road...so if you have an accident, expect the police to get involved.....if they find out any type of racing was going on..... then youve had it! :eek :wave
oh and anyone who says gt4 prepares you for the ring....its rubbish......JUMPING sideways out of the first banking at an indicated 70 mph cannot be prepared for! :eek

Hope not, top gear have shown it a few times, and i\'ve seen a redline dvd, sure both had some accident sites...shhhhh! :)
Campsite prices sound good, how much do hotels go for round that way, nothing fancy, something like a travel-lodge equivalent
well maybe...maybe with permission...certain cars can......i know the speedart prosche had a camera munted to the passenger door....there defo was a bloke at the barrier checking our car for one tho.... :confused
Hotel prices....ive heard of a small place being run by an english lady...its close to adenau....apparently she does some really nice food....its 55 euro a night IIRC....
Im not aware of any largish travelinn type places...but i may be wrong....camp it out ya bunch of wusses!!! lol!!! Seriously, the showers are nice and clean and hygenic as a re the toilets.....bring some camping gas and a stove and youll be pimping it out!!! lol!!
If you get a chance, come back via luxembourg.....the roads close to the luxembourg-belgium-germany border near the national park are to die for (only the luxembourg section.....the surface there is super smooth.....in belgium the surface is terrible at best....)
Just been reading the thread. Try //www.nurburgring.org.uk for loads of info.
Promised my 15 year old, who\'s just finished his GCSEs, a trip to the Ring on July 21st to 23rd. The circuit opens at 2.15 pm on Friday 22nd July and I did sort of say in a minute of frustration that he could drive a lap or two if he worked hard at revising.
Not sure now, especially as it seems to be public roads ..... We\'ll see when we get there.
