Title: \'Flush\' fitting lights
Post by: nikp on April 12, 2005, 11:38:37 AM
Can anyone tell me what year the FD changed from popup lights to flush fitting lights?

And are the standard flush fitting lights fitable to an earlier FD (i.e. mine - 1992!!)

Cheers!

Oh harsh response (never filled up with diesel either ;) )

Flush headlights range in price from about £400 right up over the £1k mark.  Think there\'s quite a difference in build quality...

Noted you in Bris too, may have spotted you around from time to time, seem to be a few Rex\'s in this neck of the woods.

I haven\'t been in mine for quite a while, so you may not have done! Hopefully, i will be back in it again very soon though, so that\'s why I\'m asking questions about them! Also, my popup lights have siezed (down) just before an MoT, so that\'s one of the reasons why I\'m asking about replacing the lights! Obviously, another reason is that the flush fitting lights are by far sexier!! ;)

Wherabouts in Bristol are you? I\'m ni horfield.

Not far from you then, just down in St Andrews meself.  Have seen quite a few rotaries around, particularly that area.  Couple of nice red ones, although haven\'t seen any with flush lights, you could be the first!!!
