why complicated ?

I think its easy.

You will get a "self porting" engine ;)

I wonder what the gear wheels are for on the bottom ot it? Some magic littel flap I guess!

yes has a stepper motor on the other side of the manifold,by the way have some rx-8 books for sale if any one is interested
