Title: Extended U-Valve needed?
Post by: hawker182 on April 05, 2005, 06:18:02 PM
Just had a new set of tyres delivered, dropped the car off at the local kwik-fit (they were the cheapest) and watched as they took the 1st wheel off. In the process of removing the tyre they managed to snap the valve.

To their embaressment and my much not needed annoyence the valve i need to replace the broken one is an extended u-valve. Kwik-fit cant get them nor any garage in the whole of Worcs, typical. Anyone have a spare? or know where i can get hold of one? Its a 10mm hole and the type of valve has a 90degree bend in it, can always drill the hole if any one has a larger one.

Any help much much appreciated, car just dosent look the same with the space saver lol CHEERS ADAM

Excellent cheers, sorted the problem kinda. No one could get these valves so had to stick a dumpy valve in the rim, just clears the caliper housing. Then had to buy a flexible extension that screws onto this so i can check the pressure without taking the wheel off. A bit of a pain but sorted for now
