Title: Experiences/opinions on intake systems
Post by: ScuttleRX on June 28, 2003, 05:57:26 PM
Will soon be purchasing a new intake system for my \'96 FD.

Units im considering are ones from Greddy, HKS, Blitz or Apex\'i.

If anyone has any experience or knowledge of these systems, or any others, would be grateful for your opinion of them, pro\'s and con\'s, etc.

Cheers

Andy

Thanks Lee, very helpful

Apex\'i seems a clear winner, but like it says makes you wonder why HKS and Blitz are still the top sellers...
guessing reputation

Yes there is that.  When I bought my GTiR filter as I was buying new I went for Apexi.  On my RX I had HKS filters.  I didnt feel the difference was worth shelling out on a new set of filters for.

Guess it depends on preferance.

Apexi stuff has only really caught on recently since they did the fancy AVCR.  A couple of years back it was all Blitz and HKS from memory and hardly anyone looked at Apexi.  Now Blitz seems to be being forgotten!
