Title: fitting harnesses
Post by: gavink on March 21, 2005, 06:28:47 PM
Hi....

I fancy a pair of harnesses in my rex..can you fit them when using the standard seats as i quite like them and dont really want to splash out £1000+ for a pair of decent bucket seats...

Also where can i attach them too bearing in mind i\'d like 3 point harnesses...

thanks

gavin..

my 4 point ones that came on the car from japan use the rear seat belt lower mount for the rear legs of the harnesses as far as i know, the seatbelt bolts are taken out & replaced with eyebolts, & as its the type with the seatbelt buckle on the legs it means i can still put the seat forward if i need to get anything out of the seat they\'re made by willians.

Just keep in mind that using the rear seat belt mounts means the shoulder straps will want to pull you down rather than hold you back! These straps want to be as close to horizontal as possible.
