Title: Coolant path
Post by: Warthog on March 19, 2005, 12:08:14 PM
Has anybody got aa idiot guide or a seriers of pics that identify all the place where the coolant flows through connecting rubber pipes?
The reason is that i have changed the rad to an uprated PWR one, due to the std one being shot, having got all the air out of the system i am still having to top the system up due to coolant loss. Now i\'ve found two perished pipes that come off the thermostat main filler unit and changed them. I have also renewed the joint where the pipe connects to the area near the throttle body. But i\'m still having to top up a lesser amount of coolant. This therefore means to me that i\'m getting there but still have another poor connection somewhere. I believe it must be near the turbos/exhaust area as i don\'t have any spillage on the garage floor, it must be evaporating. I\'ve been to my friends garage and asked the to do a pressure test but the filler cap housing is smaller that the seal connectors they have in there kit.
Therefore my only option at this point is to go by way of the process of elimination, hense the question of where all the points to check/renew pipe are.
Thanks in advance.
