Title: Few newbie questions?? bare with it, lol
Post by: k12nky on March 17, 2005, 03:56:33 PM
Hey guys/gals,

Few newbie questions if i may.

1. Can you stick 18" alloys straight on a standard RX-7?
2. Roughly how much is full respray?
3. Insurance wise i\'m getting quotes of around £1000 all in, anyone know any good places for rx-7 insurance?
4. Anyone know any good UK sources of decals?
5. The other half is concerned with MPG, i\'ve read loads of reports but what do u owners find? good, bad or average. my current car (gti-6) does about 380 miles on £50. How would an rx-7 compare?

Thanks to all people who help me out.

Regards

not sure about this one I reckon you could though looking at my 17s

2. Roughly how much is full respray?

couple of grand for a really good job

Is it a first or second car? is it more than 10 years old? these will affect insurance prices dramatically. There is an insuring section on this site. Personally AON gave me a great deal as an MRC member

4. Anyone know any good UK sources of decals?

nope

5. The other half is concerned with MPG, i\'ve read loads of reports but what do u owners find? good, bad or average. my current car (gti-6) does about 380 miles on £50. How would an rx-7 compare?

ummmm....... reckon on less than half that I\'d say. I get just under 200 from a tank if I\'m not playing silly buggers with it.

Thanks to all people who help me out.

I can get 250 miles out of a tank, only on a motorway in 5th the whole time though.

As Oedipus says the insurance can depend on the age and whether or not it is a 2nd car.

(P.S. i have one for sale with decals???;)

Can\'t get it any lower as struggle to get it on the drive as it is :(

Looking at carbon vented bonnet and new rear wing soon, and that should complete the exterior i think??? wanted some ad-van alloys but too expensive really about £3000 i think

Thanks for the kind words about the feature.

Sorry for thread hi-jack guys :p
