Title: Stereo wiring advice needed please!
Post by: Efini_Llew on March 16, 2005, 12:13:02 PM
I have been searching previous threads on this prob, but I can\'t find anything on this -

I have the bose setup in my car - (the top section of the bose headunit was missing though) and when I turned the stereo on, I got nothing except a very loud popping noise coming from the drivers door speaker... I thought nothing of this really, but I have just fitted my stereo, and everything works, except I have the same problem with the drivers door speaker! Even if I put the balance to the rear or left it still makes the noise... Does anyone have any ideas what it could be? Its really frustrating cos the rest of the speakers sound very good!

when i got my rx7 had the bose speakers in it and no headunit (as it got nicked at the docks  ) but when i did put a system in it the driver side speakers were not working, what i did was take the headunit out and in phase the front speakers ie, connect left side negative from the speaker to the right side negative on the back of the system and the right side negative from the speaker to the left side negative on the back of the system

it worked for me and i got sound out of all speakers :)

Hi! I have solved the problem! It turned out to be a faulty amplifier in the drivers door, so I just bypassed it and Bob was my proverbial uncle!:rollin

The bose system sounds absolutely bangin\'!
