Title: Polycarb Glass
Post by: Psycosis on March 16, 2005, 12:11:47 PM
I received a phone call today for an enquiry i made over a month ago about getting the rear screen made out of something a bit lighter.

The weight saving would be roughly 1/2 the weight of glass (whatever that is)

For a one off because of the moulds it would cost £650-700 +vat including 1 screen, and any subsequent screens would be £200+vat each.

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in this.

They can do fixed side windows for 125+vat inc shipping, but these won\'t go up and down, although they could make some by adding a bend to the poly.

There is a company in Japan that makes them, but it costs a lot more than what this company will charge.

Something like EDEL Race components (someone took the message so they may have got the name wrong)
