Title: What do you think\'s going on ere
Post by: Ricco_04 on March 12, 2005, 11:52:11 PM
Came back from a run the other day, on checking some things under the hood, I noticed this....

The droplets in the top of the oil filler.  Picked them off with my finger and it looks like it could be coolant.  Yes its a very small amount and I have never had to top her up but just wanted to tap into the knowledge of the MRC! :D

Probably nothing to worry about. A bit of condensation. I\'ve had this on my FDs for years. Even a slight bit of emulsion to. There are apparently one  (or several?) breather pipes returning to the filler cap area, so you can see this type of thing happening.

Fingers crossed there is nothing more sinister than that!:)

I would agree, nothing to worry about.  Unlike a boinger and sure sign of head gasket failure I believe it\'s common place in rotaries.  I\'ve had it pre and post rebuild...
