Title: Help car wont start
Post by: Mark C on March 07, 2005, 10:14:45 AM
I went to start my car this morning and whilst it seemed to turn over fine it sounded like it wasn\'t even trying to fire.

I only moved it saturday morning to let my mum get her car out of the garage and after i put mine back it hasn\'t been started since. I move it like this nearly every morning to let her goto work and it is always fine never had any trouble starting it before.

I am hoping it is just flooded but i didn\'t have tme to mess around much this morning though i did the remove the EGI fuse trick and turn it over for a short time 30sec or so replace fuse but it didn\'t work.

Any suggestions?

TIA

Mark

mine did the same thing on sunday, you should remove the egi fuse and remove the bottom plugs then turn the engine over and watch all the fuel come out lol

clean the plugs well and re-fit, fingers crossed it should start.

Thanks for the reply Dave. Turns out it may have been a combo of a loose battery terminal, probably, causing a slow turn over which, in turn, seems to have flooded it and i flattened the battery trying to resart it :( oh and me panicing.

Pulled the EGI relay, connected my mums Punto to my battery with the punto engine running, turned my engine over for about a minute plugged the relay back in turned it over and cough, bang, HUGE cloud of white smoke  and .... IT LIVES :D
