Hi all,
Am looking to replace my 18\'s with some 19\'s on the FD.
I have read and read and read about offsets, and know what the dictionary definition is, but can\'t quite work out what effect an offset has on any given rim when it comes to how much of a dish you may see.
I want to get as wide as is possible on the rear, and ideally want a deeper dish on the rear.
I have looked at Buddy Club P1 Racing II rims, and have been advised that I can go
19" 19x8 Front +38 235/35
19" 19x9 Rear +35 265/30
But the guy is not sure if I can go wider - perhaps 10" rim with 275\'s. He is also unsure if it gives me a dish.
I know dishing is down to the individual rim that I choose, but is there any correlation between offset and dish. If, for instance I had the option of a +38 or a +33 on a dished rim, does that mean I get a bigger dish on the smaller offset ?
Has anyone got Buddy Clubs on their FD ?
Any help most greatfully received
Craig

Thanks - played with that and I don\'t really know how much I can shift towards the struts or towards the bodywork before fouling becomes a problem.
Any further clues ?
The lower the offset the bigger dish really. But also the further out the wheel will stick.
I wouldnt use 19\'s though myself as I image it wouldnt be nice to drive.
OK, Buddy Club UK have now got back to me and recommended:
8.5 x 19 and 9.5 x 19 both ET38 with 235x35 and 265x30 tyres.
they reckon going to 275 tyres will bring the RR up to 649mm and therefore affect acceleration.
any thoughts ?
Hi Craig
Just outta interest, are those the cast or forged variants as i think you can have a choice and do you mind saying how much they are, as i love those rims.
Thanks
The P1 Racing II\'s are the forged version, whereas the P1 Racing II Plus are the cast. I\'m in the process of getting prices on both.
The total price for II Plus\'s at 8.5x19 +235.35.19 front and 9.5x19 +275.30.19 with Toyo Proxes is £2364.78 inc fitting, balancing, screw in valves, titanium black nuts, delivery, spigot rings, and VAT.
Not sure of the forged beasts...
