Post by: Jovic82 on June 23, 2003, 12:05:12 AM
Hi

how much does it cost to fix the ABS light in the cockpit, and also what does this light flashing mean? could it just be a loose connection or something?

any help appreciated

Could be a mucky sensor, I had a similar problem in my old not (not the rex) they get crap on them / just go after a while. Wouldn\'t think they cost a lot to replace

Good luck mate

Go for the obvious and hope first.
After youve checked their clean, check each plug/socket follow
the wire back from each wheel sensor and check for chaffing
where passing through body and bits.
check fluid, fusses, conections on abs pump, if you have a 2nd
gen remove the bleack cover on pump unit check relays are plugged in (beter still remove and check them with false feed
& meter, then may be bleed brakes. After all this its
going to be expensive.
Sensors £200 a corner which one is faulty who knows could
end up being trial and error if they all seem ok.
oh and the pump $2000 US
PS Mazda uk have ONE abs tester in the uK and they dont know who has it!(2nd gen)
After all this mine still dont work I HATE it wish it was never on
the car.
Good luck (Im gonner get mine removed/by passed at some stage
