Title: Oil Warning light
Post by: GeckoGareth on February 27, 2005, 09:27:14 PM
Since doing a service last weekend the oil light keeps coming on and going off randomly, I\'ve slowly kept topping up the oil until she\'s now eaten a whole 5litres of GTX. Should I need the full five litres? Since putting the last bit in this afternoon the light hasn\'t come back on but I\'m a bit worried. The light coming on didn\'t really correspond to anything specific with driving condition / style either.

IS it possible to knock the oil sensor at all when getting to the plugs or changing the oil filter?

Should I get another litre of GTX to keep in the car to keep her topped up? I\'ve ran it since September when I bought it and have never seen this light on before.

Got the rolling road this weekend so really don\'t want any probs.

cheers

Gareth

5 ltrs is right for an oil change.
keep an eye on her as it might want an extra 1/2 ltr.

Cheers for that. I\'ll grab a litre this week to keep to hand.
