Title: ECU/De-limiter
Post by: Steve Burnett on June 22, 2003, 12:11:46 PM
Hi,
driving down to knockhill on Friday I found out that the car still is limited to 115(ish) Do I need to fit a delimitter or is this something written into the ECU program?

You will need to fit a de-limitter.

Am I best to buy this from one of the usual suspects, RE:Worx, RX Motor, WGT or just from one of the performance places in the japanese mags? Any effects on the car other than stopping it from going beyond 115mph?

If you get it from one of the usual places, they will offer telephone support I would guess. Just in case you need it.

The only thing effect other than stopping it going past 112 mph, is that above this speed your mpg gets even worse. :D

Title: Apexi Rev/Speed

Another good way of doing this is purchasing an Apexi Rev/Speed unit.  See here:

This is the newer generation unit.  Only thing is - that it appears to be in KM only.

take your instrument panel off, there is a connector with 12 wires cut the green/red one. Then you should be able to hit 175.

DId it with mine, no probs

Steve, even though the instructions are in Jap. you can normally work it out. They lay them out very well.

If not try giving one of the HKS dealers out there a call. Two I can recommend are Graham Goode (0116 2440080)  or Chris at HyperSR (0845 225 0111)

Has anyone fitted one of these? Anyone got a copy of the instructions? How easy is it to install?

Cheers
