Title: RX7 has finally arrived...
Post by: babz_audio on February 23, 2005, 09:35:53 PM
Well, after buying the car in October 2004 and waiting for the ship to go liverpool which took months...the car arrived last friday and i went on monday to pick it up. i am impressed with the car, although was abit ****ed off as someone had a go at it and nicked my A-pillar gauges and broke the pod, nicked my headunits, my gear knob and tried taking the side mirrors damaging the panel...but hopefully should be getting some money as it was insured on the ship...

few pics here..will get some better ones taken soon...

Good to finally here you\'ve got it matey !!!!:)

Was talking with Freddy earlier today and it seems that liverpool docks are now just as bad as Southampton docks for security, it seems you can just walk in and help yourself to whatever you want????

Hopefully the boat insurance will pay for all you\'ve lost ;)

Looking good m8, gotta agree it looks much better after a wash:bandit

I should be about all weekend cleaning up the other FD block, hopefully I\'ll also get round to spraying the mirrors on my own car, just need to get faheem to lend me his compressor:rolleyes: ;)

So yeah come round hopefully the snow will have  cleared by then:D

Paul

James S: I have the exact same rear spoiler sat in my garage, if you fancy it give me a pm as I\'m sure we can come to agreement on a good price:)

thanks people

Riccardo - the bonnet is lifted to let the heat out, no overheating problems, think its just to keep it nice and cool

Wav - i will pop round on weekend, let this weather sort itself out, gotta sort out the headlights hto, you can barely see them, its got some next PIAA wiring in ther or something, me and faheem are gonna have a look wen we get some time. And i wish there was a spare engine in there..lol, they take pics of wen the car goes on the ship in japan and then wen it comes off into the uk...and then from that they compare and see whats gone missing

i think Wav should put me down on the list for next saturday as a definate as ive booked the day off work too
:D

if they\'re RE-A lights then generally they aint great, i think its because they\'re foglights thats used for lighting the beam pattern aint the best, you also get some cutoff from the cowlings. i hid\'d mine earlier this yr & it made quite a differance

:D

I dont think thats a good idea. The area at the bottom of the windscreen becomes a HIGH pressure are once you get moving, so I think this setup will help overheating rather then combat it.

( Flame suit on - I am gonna get it this time for sure ! )

Nice car though, and welcome to Rotor world if its your first Rotary!

I think Rixio was joking about the wheels m8 because they are quite desirable being lightweight mazdaspeed items so a lot of people would be after them if you were to get some new wheels ;)

The bonnet being raised will definitely help in traffic, but probably not at higher speeds,  seeing as you\'ll mostly be cruising round ocean I wouldn\'t worry:rollin ;)

Hi mate, looks very nice!

First thing first, i would get your fuelling checked, it will be mapped to jap fuel, i failed to do this and learnt the hard way! Well it was good as i got to add lots of goodies with the rebuild but you would be better safe than sorry.

Good luck with it mate.

cheers

Donato

nice colour and love the front splitter! ;)
