Title: C\'s Short Shifter
Post by: J4P RX on June 21, 2003, 11:59:09 AM
Just finished fitting one to my car.  Pretty easy - even I managed to do it and thats impressive!

Initial feel (ie just sat in the car park not moving) is that it seems like it will be good.  Much less movement between gears.  1st to 2nd still has a bit of movement but the rest all seem very close.

Going to go to the Boxhill meet now, so Ill give a report on what I think its like to drive once I get back (unless you see me there).

The main question is, how many changes will I fluff before im used to it :p

Cheers

Lee, some that have fitted these (myself included) have said that fitting a good aftermarket shift knob makes it feel even better.

Yeah it gets the thumbs up from me after a couple of hours out in it.  I find that it works best if your very direct with it, as if you are just sloppy it doesnt always want to go.

Hard to say if the difference is really worth the money (and depends what you pay!) but im happy with it.

I should have an aftermarket shift knob soon.  Have one on order from Get Greddy on this forum.  Hope it doesnt take too long.
