Title: 1st Gen - Rear Hatch struts
Post by: DaveCollins on February 13, 2005, 09:31:16 AM
Hi,

Does anyone know how I can get the gas struts on rear hatch of my car re-energised.  I am fed up of the hatch crashing down on my head or just banging shut.

I have tried some of the tricks like dribbling white spirit into them but to no avail.

Any ideas?

Dave

Tim at RX motors showed me a trick: you just bend them!

Pull them towards you with the hatch open, just an inch or 2 should do it.

Well might be worth a try if all other possibilities fail!!

Must admit to date there has only been one part (front brake pads) that Mazda where unable to supply recently.
