Just fitted a new stereo to my fd, thing is as soon as you put the tuner on ...aeriel goes up.....and no sound
Been lookin at past threads and this has came up before .
Anyone had ths problem ???? oh and the speakers DO work cos ive been playin cd\'s.
Wierd bout the tuner though...and no radio static sound you would usually get if the aerial wasnt connected !!
There are two ariel cables on the imports as the cars from Japan use two, one is the normal ariel and the other is to an ariel built into the rear screen, it looks like you may have connected it to the wrong one, although you would have thought that you would still hear static,
is the stereo brand new? It could be faulty..
The two ariel cables should be roughly in the same place under the dash to the right of the stereo, if you pull the plastic cover off that is next to your left leg you should be able to see them...
Hope thats the problem..

I am sure they are one blue and one orange, for the ariel power, if this is a*se then disconnect all but the coax from the ariel in the back of the car.
