Title: Compression test result
Post by: J.j. on February 10, 2005, 11:10:19 PM
Hi,
Took the car to have a compression test today.
The result.

Front
7.0
7.0
7.0

Rear
6.7
6.9
6.7

@200 something rpm (Arent they usually tested at 3 or 400 something rpm?? , does that make any different??)
Anyway, was told the engine\'s quite health.  They even suggest that these kind of figures are usually found on a car with 20 something k miles.

What do you guys think??

Cheers

Sorry, forgive my very limited English.

Yeah, you\'re right Matt.  If only every parent\'s like me(not knowing what all those figures mean), no kids will ever be in trouble.
So, my kid doing ok? or do I need to give it a good kicking...

New engine compression results will show you much higher than that.

All 6 pots are even. With stage 1 modifications and PFC. You still have good life in that engine. What is the current mileage?

Compression is normaly tested at/about 250RPM, so thats fine.

Figures looks like 60-80K engine, and Freddy is right, you should see still good power from your engine.

But please Freddy, dont use this crap word "pots" let us say on all chambers :)
