Has anyone fitted one of these, as i have got one and dont know where or how to fit, or if i do need to fit, will it help the engine?, any help please.
Hi Ham
Sounds like you could be getting confused between two RX mods. The first is an AIR separater tank, the second been an OIL catch tank.
If i remember rightly the AST on the Rex is plastic as standard and prone to splitting at high pressure which looses your fluids and can cause the engine to go \'BANG\' which is not a good people. many people fir an aluminium AST as one of there first mods to remove this problem.
If you have an Oil catch tank it will have a sight gauge to one side of the \'tank\' as this mod is designed, as you might have guessed from the name to catch oil, and needs emptying from time to time. Not sure exactly how it works, but some of the more knowledgeable types on here willl fill you in...
Saying that probably got it all completely wrong and madem yself look like an *ss lol :rollin
yes sorry it is an oil catch tank
glad you posted this hamc. i have also just received an oil catch can and has no fitting instructions included so i have\'nt a clue how or where to fit it. any help would appreciated aswell. thanks

Oil Catch Tank catches the oil and moisture in the blow-by gas that causes carbon and sludge build-up in the intake system and the engine. It keeps the engine clean even under hard driving conditions. Hope that gives you some idea of what it does, even if it\'s not a very technical explanation.
With this in mind i would say it\'s a worthwhile mod :D
