Title: Cold start problems
Post by: spagram on February 09, 2005, 09:09:24 AM
My fd is a real bitch to start when its cold but as soon as its warmed up it starts fine, is this likely to mean re-build time or could it be something else, it runs fine and its got loads of power. Its not registered yet so i cant take it for a compression test but hopefully next week it\'ll be on the road. Ive checked the plugs, leading is a BUR7EQP and trailing is a BUR9EQP but ive got no idea how old they are. Any ideas?

as soon as it is registerd take it straight to a specialist geoff at re worx or carl at hayward rotary or pip at wgt get the car checked over top to toe then u will have a bit of peace of mind.a lot of cars arrive and are supposed to be in tip top condition then pop.they are fragile cars and need to be treated as such

defo change oil plugs etc on arrival ASAP, i\'d also get the fuel filter done straight away whack some decent rubber on each corner & as above take it to an expert to give it a full once over.

bit of a bastard to do apparently as it\'s just above the diff but is something you wana change (& every couple of years i believe) as if it\'s blocked you will have a dead engine quicker than you can say bunghole (http://www.smiliegenerator.de/s26/smilies-42134.png)
