Hi guys,
Got it back from the paint shop and it looks fantastic! However...
On saturday my side lights stopped working, checked all the fuses and they are fine...? I still had main beam at this point...
Was trying to find the problem yesterday and i think i have stuck a cable in the wrong place and now my headlights wont pop up unless you hit main beam.
To cut a long story short i have no side lights and no pop up on headlights. However they pop up on main beam. There are no fuses blown that i can see.
Could it be relays?
Any help much appreciated
Cheers
Donato
Anyone?
Had another go last night, the fuses are all fine...
take it back to the bodyshop thay must have reconnected or not reconnected something..thay should have tested everything before it left
yeah I\'d do the same mate, if everything was working when it went into the bodyshop then its there problem not yours.
Thanks guys but everything was working fine for a day after it came back out the bodyshop..plus im at work during daylight hours so its a bit difficult to move it at the moment!
I have booked an auto electrician to look at it tomorrow night, after messing about for hours last night i have narrowed it down to
relay
switch
burnt out cable
They should be able to determine which one it is reasonably quickly...
check the wiring to the button that pops up the headlights without turning them on.
Had a similar issue with my MX5 and traced the problem to having not put the connections back together properly. Connected properly and it all started singing and dancing again.
Thanks gregor,
Already went down that road though..still no luck! I think its a job for the experts, im really annoyed as i have never been beaten by anything on my car before but it looks like i will have to admit defeat on this one...
I will post the results just in case anyone else comes across this problem...its annoying as its just been resprayed, it looks amazing and i cant drive it! :reallymad
ah well, give me time to put the other bits and bobs i ahev bought for her when she was in the paint shop...
Cheers
